Kelam Cave

Gua Kelam is one of limestone's cave in the Setul Formation in Nakawan Range and was maintained by Perlis Forestry Department since 1997.
The cave is located about 33km north of Kangar, the state capital. The Gua Kelam Recreational Park is popular for its enchanting 'cave walk', where you can enter from one end of the cave and come out at a different location.
According to history, the term Gua Kelam is a title given by the miners due to the darkness within the cave itself. The miners have been forced to use carbide lamp to light the cave during their tin ore mining activities.the whispers of a swirling dark subterranean stream, together with the squeaking bats and dripping water from the stalactites, form a concerto of natural sounds. It sounds a bit spooky, but adds to the mystery of a cave that was was once the home of Stone Age men. The variety of animals such as bat, snake, spider, variety insect and others can will scare you inside this cave.

Perlis Snake Park

Perlis Snake Farm comprises of outdoor exhibits, indoor exhibition halls, snake fountain, auditorium and food stalls. This can be a perfect treat to both the snake lovers and the mammal lovers with a plethora of animals in their exhibits like snakes, iguanas, komodo dragons, deer, tortoises, crocodiles, ducks, chickens, pigeons, ostriches and rabbits. The place is renovating from time to time to enhance the visitor satisfaction while learning about the behaviourism of snakes. At Taman Ular Perlis, kids will love to interact with the animals and have an educational as well as recreational insight.

Tasik Melati Recreational Park

Tasik Melati is a natural wetland within development area. The park is famous for its lakes and its recreational facilities. Melati Lake derives its name from the fragrant Jasmine flower. It could probably adapted Melati from the adjacent housing estate called Taman Melati.More than 150 islands scattered sandbars can be seen this lake. A footway has been constructed across the lake to enable visitors to enjoy the stunning views, along the pavement is also provided a retreat. Tasik Melati is located in the north Kangar. It is a small, but beautiful lake. The man-made lake has become a favourite of the public place. The distance from the capital of Kangar to this park is roughly 10 kilometres apart, and visitors are welcomed at any point of time. Parking would not be a problem as there is ample parking space available for the lake-goers.Apart from the vast parking lot, jogging tracks and concrete walkways are all over the park to make it convenient for visitors. Even more attractive is the fact that this park requires no entrance fee; basically this park is free of charge.
